About the Position
**Private In-Home Caregiver Position (Weekday, Evening & Weekend Availability)
A private client is seeking a dependable, compassionate caregiver to provide in-home support. This is a private-pay position with no benefits provided. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, and companionship in a private residence.
**Pay: $16 per hour**
** Schedule: Weekday morning/afternoon hours, weekday evenings (6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.), and weekends (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.). Weekend or overnight availability is preferred.
**Position Overview**
This role involves hands-on assistance for a female client, including personal and intimate care. Due to the nature of the duties and the client’s expressed privacy and comfort needs, the client has requested a caregiver who can meet these considerations.
**Weekday Responsibilities**
Weekday duties focus on morning and mid-day care. Responsibilities include assisting the client with waking routines, personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, and positioning. The caregiver will prepare simple meals, assist with feeding as needed, and check and record vital signs. The caregiver will also help ensure the client is comfortable throughout the day, perform regular check-ins, assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment, and complete light housekeeping tasks related to the client’s care.
**Evening & Weekend Responsibilities**
Evening and weekend shifts emphasize comfort, companionship, and end-of-day routines. Duties include meal preparation, assisting with transfers, toileting, and preparing the client for bed. The caregiver will help maintain a clean and safe care environment, assist with nighttime routines, and ensure the client is settled comfortably. Weekend shifts may be longer and require flexibility, attentiveness, and consistent supervision.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
English proficiency preferred
Reliable transportation required (client does not provide transportation)
Availability for evenings, weekends, and possible overnight stays
Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and mobility assistance

The employer is a private individual residing in O’Fallon, Missouri (approximately a 37-minute drive from St. Louis) seeking in-home caregiving support through Humanity First Employment. Humanity First Employment provides referral and screening services only; the caregiver will be employed directly by the private client under a private-pay arrangement.
